The Record of George W. Bush
Those that do not remember history are doomed to repeat it
- George Santayana in "Life of Reason, Reason in Common Sense" -1905

Sept 2006
This was originally posted in September 2006 for the election of that year. I know that a lot has changed since then, but given the current political environment I believe it is necessary to remember the some of the causes of our current situation. Some of the links are not functioning. I will be repairing them and updating this over the next few months. I will also begin to add new information...The let the history decide, not pundits from Fox News or CNN. It's is time for history to judge, now... Does any of this speak for itself? Here are some links to news, video and pictures that are below this. Read the news, and let the videos buffer for a minute of two.
How much of this do you know about? -- If you don't know, why not?
Watch with an open mind. Most of this, everyone will have to agree, happened as presented. This is not complete but you can always look up more to read and watch.
Go through a little at a time there is a lot here..
In my opinion everyone needs to think critically about this. Everyone.
See for yourself. Click on some of the links...
The video links work best with a high speed hook-up

Special thanks to Google, Google video, MSNBC, You Tube, Shoutwire, CNN.Com, The Washington Post, The NY times, Fox News, Wikinews, Mother Jones, The Center for Cooperative Research, the Heritage Foundation, the White House.gov and many others.
I found all this work critical; please don't sue me for directing people to your fine efforts. I have no money only debt.
Extra special thanks for the Constitution of the United States, The First Amendment of that Constitution, and readers like you.
P.S. I never voted for Clinton or Gore... I swear to that.

Bush Defends Assertions of Iraq-Al Qaeda Relationship (Link)
"The reason I keep insisting that there was a relationship between Iraq and Saddam and al Qaeda: because there was a relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda," Bush said after a Cabinet meeting.
As evidence, he cited Iraqi intelligence officers' meeting with bin Laden in Sudan. "There's numerous contacts between the two," Bush said. --Friday, June 18, 2004;
While not explicitly declaring Iraqi culpability in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, administration officials did, at various times, imply a link. In late 2001, Cheney said it was "pretty well confirmed" that attack mastermind Mohamed Atta had met with a senior Iraqi intelligence official. Later, Cheney called Iraq the "geographic base of the terrorists who had us under assault now for many years, but most especially on 9/11." Beyond the Sept. 11 attacks, administration officials have also suggested that there had been cooperation between Iraq and al Qaeda that went beyond contacts. Bush last year called Hussein "an ally of al Qaeda." Just this Monday, Cheney said Hussein "had long-established ties with al Qaeda." Washington Post Friday, June 18, 2004

Osama Bin Laden?
Q. But don't you believe that the threat that bin Laden posed won't truly be eliminated until he is found either dead or alive? THE PRESIDENT: Well, as I say, we haven't heard much from him. And I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure. And, again, I don't know where he is. I -- I’ll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him. March 13, 2002

Lie by Lie: Chronicle of a War Foretold: August 1990 to March 2003 (Link)
The first drafts of history are fragmentary. Important revelations arrive late, and out of order. In this timeline, Mother Jones assembled the history of the Iraq War to create a resource we hope will help resolve open questions of the Bush era. What did our leaders know and when did they know it? And, perhaps just as important, what red flags did we miss, and how could we have missed them? This is the first installment in our Iraq War timeline project.
